The Swiss Council of States passed today a resolution directing the government to „amend the laws, ordinances and regulations“ to prevent funding to NGOs „involved in racist, anti-Semitic or hate incitement actions.“
According to NGO Monitor, which monitors radical anti-Israel NGOs claiming to stand for human rights and has worked extensively over the past three years to document the issue of unchecked and unaccountable NGO funding by Switzerland, the final vote today will have a dramatic effect on government funding to non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
