Libya, Qatar, and Zimbabwe were among members of the UN’s 54-nation Economic and Social Council, a principal organ of the world body, who voted on July 26th to single out Israel as the only country in the world to be rebuked by the council this year for allegedly violating women’s rights.
In a resolution adopted 37 to 6, with 4 abstentions (see breakdown below), the Jewish state was accused of being a “major obstacle” for Palestinian women “with regard to the fulfilment of their rights, and their advancement, self-reliance and integration in the development of their society.”

The Palestinian exception could be broadly defined as a tendency by news organizations to treat Palestinians as unique when compared to their coverage of other issues.

"I just noticed your ring."
To Maya Satnick, it had seemed like a compliment. As the first-year student walked across the campus of San Diego State University four years ago, another student, a stranger, had approached her.
Satnick's silver ring bore a Star of David, a symbol of the 18-year-old's Jewish faith. It had been a gift from her grandmother, who had connected her to her family's traditions.

Comedian Roseanne Barr’s statement on a podcast that no Jews died in the Holocaust has created a social media storm.
During the June 14 episode of This Past Weekend, a podcast hosted by fellow comedian Theo Von, the Jewish Barr delved into the topic of the 2020 election and the concept of “truth” in the United States.
“Nobody wants to hear the real truth,” began Barr, before adding that social media guidelines have “mandated” what the truth is or isn’t.
