Nahostkonflikt

University students have become central to anti-Israel movements, with many participating in organizations such as Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and others allied to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign.
Even among those not directly involved, a precedent has been created whereby to be considered “woke,” one must hold negative views towards Israel.
While pursuing a degree in politics at the University of Birmingham in the UK, I frequently observed this dynamic, both on campus and on the “virtual campus” of university social media pages. Anti-Israel protests occurred on campus, but it was the discourse on university social media platforms that was particularly noteworthy.

She is a Muslim Arab woman.
She’s an iconoclast and a pioneer.
An army officer who has received both the President’s Award of Excellence and that of the minister of defense, she is the first Muslim Arab woman to publicly become a major in the IDF.
Meet Ella Waweya, 33, internationally known as “Captain Ella” (even after her promotion), the IDF’s deputy spokesperson for the Arabic media.
Captain Ella’s unconventional life journey begins in the central Israeli city of Qalansawe, located east of Netanya, where virtually all the residents are Muslim Arabs. Although she was born into a conservative, religious family, from a young age Waweya felt that she wanted to be part of Israeli society.

E., a resident of the Gaza Strip, talks to us from an apartment in greater Tel Aviv, where he has been residing for the past week, helped by friends, who have provided him with a roof over his head. E. has been put on Hamas' blacklist after he made several public statements and published posts, in which he dared to criticize Hamas' policy in Gaza. He attacked the Hamas leadership for violating human rights, criticized the discrimination against women in public areas, and expressed his infuriation with the way Hamas' security institutions handle anti-regime activists.
The United States Air Force on Monday deployed six fighter jets to an Israeli Air Force base in southern Israel, as part of a military tactic to constantly disperse its aircraft at various airbases.
According to the IAF, during the deployment at the Nevatim Airbase, the six F-15s would conduct joint drills with Israel’s fleet of F-35 stealth fighters and a squadron of intelligence-gathering Gulfstream G550 planes.
The ultimate aim of the Palestinian war with Israel is to conquer the planet, according to senior Hamas official Mahmoud al-Zahar, who admitted after the successful takeover of the globe, the world would finally be rid of “Zionism” and “treacherous Christianity.”
Speaking earlier this month on Al Masirah TV, the main television news outlet run by Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi movement, Mahmoud al-Zahar, a founder of the Hamas terror group and one of its current leaders, made the outrageous claims.

(November 30, 2022 / JNS) A former German state bishop recently appointed to fight Jew-hatred delivered a sermon in 2017 in which he stated that Israel’s “occupation” of the disputed territories “deforms souls.”
“On a meeting trip with members of the Lutheran World Federation to Israel-Palestine in November, we were able to experience how the time of occupation weighs on people, deforms souls, restricts freedom; how border controls degrade people and how this all breeds new violence,” said Bishop Gerhard Ulrich.
Two weeks after a Trump-supporting heckler threw a beer can at Ariel Elias at a club in New Jersey over her politics, the Jewish comedian’s fortunes took a turn for the better.
A video of the incident went viral and she made her network television debut on Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night talk show. She spent most of her five-minute set talking about her Jewish identity and how it clashed with parts of her upbringing in Kentucky.
“Why wear a tallis to shul when you can wear a very real product from Walmart?” Ilan Kogan, an Orthodox rabbinical student, asked on TikTok late Monday.
Kogan was talking about “Elegant Sunscreen Scarves Sun Block Shawl Scarf Beach Shawl Towel Clothing Accessories for Women Judaism (Blue),” the search engine-optimized title for a product that looked a lot like a tallit, the shawl worn by Jews during morning prayers.
Israeli mission to the UN led by ambassador Gilad Erdan on Tuesday launched its first exhibition documenting Jewish expulsion from Arab countries and Iran at UN Headquarters in New York.
The launch coincided with the 75th anniversary of the UN Partition Plan and Day to Mark the Departure and Expulsion of Jews from Arab Countries and Iran. The exhibition will be on display for a week.

Berlin, 29. November 2022.

Disgraced rapper Kanye West is in the lead to win the dishonorable title of “Antisemite of the Year” by a group that tracks Jewish hate.
The other two finalists for watchdog group StopAntisemitism's fourth annual contest include Mohamed Hadid — the father of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid — and Jon Minadeo II head of the white supremacist group the Goyim Defense League (GDL).

Crudely antisemitic books promoting Holocaust denial and depicting Jews as usurers have been showcased at a prestigious book fair in Poland that enjoys the backing of the country’s president.
Titles published by the far-right Polish imprint 3DOM — a play on the English word “freedom” — were on display at the Historical Book Fair in Warsaw, an event that is officially supported by the office of President Andzrej Duda.
JTA — Australian-Jewish teenager Harry Sheezel made headlines Monday for getting drafted into the Australian Football League and for facing a barrage of online antisemitism in the wake of his selection.
The 18-year-old medium forward was picked third overall by last-place North Melbourne, which finished the 2022 season with only two wins in 22 matches. Australian football is comparable to rugby and features two 18-player teams on an oval-shaped field, with the aim of kicking the ball through goalposts to score points.
