(December 27, 2022 / JNS) Imam Mohammad Tawhidi, an Islamic scholar and thinker, has dedicated his life to fighting Islamic extremism.
Physically attacked for his positions and forced to flee his home in Australia when it was vandalized by extremists, it is perhaps no wonder he began the preface to his 2018 book, “The Tragedy of Islam: Admissions of a Muslim Imam,” with the words: “It is highly likely that you will one day hear that I have been murdered.”
Tawhidi, who describes himself as the “Imam of Peace,” has said “Palestine is Jewish land” and that he doesn’t believe in Islamophobia as “phobia is an irrational fear. Fearing ISIS is not irrational.” He has criticized Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) as “absolute frauds and Islamists” who “promote hatred against the Jewish people.”

A recently leaked European Union document outlining E.U. strategy to help extend Palestinian control over Area C of Judea and Samaria reveals “a gross violation of Israel’s sovereignty and jurisdiction by purported allies,” Naomi Kahn, director of the International Division for Regavim, an Israeli NGO that deals with land issues, told JNS.
Under the Oslo Accords, Area C, covering 60% of Judea and Samaria, commonly known as the West Bank, falls fully under Israeli authority.
A dozen programs meant to increase the participation of Arabs in Israel’s high-tech workforce will receive some NIS 21.6 million ($6 million) in government funding, the Labor Division of the Ministry of Economy and Industry announced this week.
The funding, allocated with the support of the Israeli Innovation Authority, will be used for industry training and placement programs for 2,239 Israeli Arab men and women over the next two years.

Die Behörde büsste ihn wegen Rassendiskriminierung mit 8200 Franken. Dennoch postet er weiter menschenfeindliche Inhalte auf Instagram.

A group of high school students demonstrated against antisemitism on Thursday in the city of Essen, where a building that formerly housed a synagogue was shot at last week.
Der Bundestag hat am Donnerstagabend den Haushaltsplan 06 für das Bundesinnenministerium mit der Mehrheit von SPD, Bündnis90/Die Grünen und FDP beschlossen. In diesem Einzelplan ist unter anderem die deutliche Erhöhung der Mittel für den Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland und mehrere Projekte zur Förderung jüdischen Lebens in Deutschland enthalten.
Es ist ein immer dringlicher werdendes Problem: Ältere jüdische Zugewanderte aus den Ländern der ehemaligen Sowjetunion müssen ihren Lebensabend häufig in Armut verbringen. Nach Angaben der Zentralwohlfahrtsstelle der Juden in Deutschland (ZWST) kommen 93 Prozent der heute im Rentenalter liegenden sogenannten Kontingentflüchtlinge, die überwiegend in den 90er-Jahren nach Deutschland kamen, nicht ohne Grundsicherung aus. Ursache dafür ist in vielen Fällen, dass in den Herkunftsländern erworbene Rentenansprüche in Deutschland nicht anerkannt werden.
Gleich zu Beginn seines Buches „Operation Allah - Wie der politische Islam unsere Demokratie unterwandern will“ erklärt der arabisch-israelische Diplom-Psychologe Ahmad Mansour, einer der profundesten Kenner der islamischen Szene, er müsse jene enttäuschen, die ernsthaft glauben, von allen Muslimen gehe per se eine Gefahr aus. Er müsse aber auch jene enttäuschen, die ihm vorwerfen, er mache den Islam schlecht.

Pinchas Goldschmidt war Oberrabbiner in Moskau und ist Präsident der Europäischen Rabbinerkonferenz (CER). Weil er den Krieg nicht unterstützte, musste er das Land verlassen. Er ist das höchste religiöse Oberhaupt, das der Kreml damit zur Flucht gezwungen hat.
