  1. HC Iranian Leaders Mock Global Financial Crisis – Iran’s Economy Sows Internal Discontent
What Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is Saying
Iranian Government Structure and Influence on Nuclear Policy
Iran’s top officials are celebrating the global financial crisis, saying it’s proof of the West’s lack of religious faith, corruption and liberal ideals.
Ayatollah Ali Janati, leader of Iran’s Guardians Council, stated that the financial crisis „has spread to Europe now which makes us happy. The unhappier they are the happier we become.“
Similarly, Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said, „The school of Marxism has collapsed and the sound of the West’s cracking liberal democracy is now being heard.“

  2. HCIranian Official Threatens Terror Attacks in London
The head of the Europe and US Department in the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Wahid Karimi, has suggested that Iran should target London in order to deter the US from attacking Iran. „The most appropriate means of deterrence that Iran has, in addition to retaliatory operation in the [Gulf] region, is to take action against London,“ the Iranian official said. [1]
Furthermore, Seyed Safavi, head of the Research Institute of Strategic Studies in Tehran and advisor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warned foreign diplomats in London that a preemptive strike on Israel was being lobbied as an option in order to neutralize any Israeli attempt to bomb Iran’s alleged nuclear facilities.

  7. AP Iranian general reports arming ‚liberation armies‘ – ALI AKBAR DAREINI
TEHRAN, Iran  — Iran is supplying weapons to „liberation armies“ in the Middle East, a top Revolutionary Guards commander said, offering the first official confirmation the country provides weapons to armed groups in the region.
Gen. Hossein Hamedani, deputy commander of a volunteer militia that is part of the elite Revolutionary Guards, did not provide specific details in the report on the state-run Borna news. The U.S. military has accused Iran of arming Shiite militias in Iraq, and Iran is widely believed to provide weapons to Lebanon’s militant Shiite Hezbollah group.
„Not only are our armed forces self-sufficient, liberation armies of the region get part of their weapons from us,“ Hamedani said, according to the report on Borna’s Web site late Sunday.

  8. RIA Novosti Tatarstan hilft Iran bei der Ölförderung
DSCHIDDA (Saudi Arabien), 28. Oktober (RIA Novosti).

He was released on bail on 22 October and has since been reunited with his wife and two children.
Release International, which serves persecuted Christians worldwide, has launched an appeal to support the Christians of Iran.
„We’re pleased Ramtin has been allowed to leave custody,“ says Release CEO Andy Dipper. „But scores of other Iranians who have become Christians are still in jail for their faith.

  14. neurope.eu  Russian gas cartel talks in Tehran unnerve the West – Kostis Geropoulos
Officials from Russia’s gas monopoly Gazprom, the world’s largest gas producer, met counterparts from Iran and Qatar on October 21 to discuss setting up a natural gas cartel, similar to the oil-based Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). The notion of a gas cartel was brought up in January 2007 by Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, but it is now gaining momentum and may require just a few more meetings before an accord is finalised. Iran, Russia and Qatar account for nearly a third of the world’s natural gas exporters.

  15. washingtontimes.com  WESTON: Coming to grips with Iran’s regime   Mark Weston
Iran’s nuclear program is the focus of disappointing United Nations diplomacy and reckless talk of U.S. and Israeli air strikes. It has also spurred joint plans by Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates to build a nuclear reactor of their own. Unfortunately, the world cannot stop Iran from acquiring the capability to build nuclear weapons merely with promises of increased trade or sanctions that hurt carpet weavers but do not affect Iran’s oil exports.
Even war won’t work. When Israel destroyed Iraq’s nuclear reactor at Osirak in 1982, Iraq had just that one reactor. Iran, by contrast, has widely dispersed its nuclear facilities. The area is both mountainous and vast, the size of the American South, east of Texas.

At a ceremony inaugurating Iran’s new naval base at Jask port, on the Persian Gulf near the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian army deputy commander Abdul-Rahim Mousavi said that his country had established „an impassable naval blockade“ in the eastern part of the strait and in the Gulf of Oman.
