Die iranische Nation ist zu Gesprächen bereit – sie müssen aber in einem Klima der Gerechtigkeit und des gegenseitigen Respekts stattfinden”, sagte Ahmadinedschad. Von den USA forderte er:

Iran wählt am 12. Juni einen neuen Präsidenten. Voraussichtlich wird der Amtsinhaber Ahmadineschad wieder kandidieren, und voraussichtlich wird er, der auch im eigenen Lager umstritten ist, von einem Gegenkandidaten aus den eigenen Reihen herausgefordert. Alles deutet darauf hin, dass sich der Oberbürgermeister Teherans, Qalibaf, wie schon im Juni 2005 abermals um das Amt bewerben wird.

Was Präsident Ahmadinedschad bei den Feierlichkeiten zum 30. Jahrestag der Revolution dazu verlasste, Iran zu einer ” wirklichen Weltmacht ” zu erklären.

  16. MEMRI IRANIAN MEDIA BLOG – IRGC Air Force Cmdr: Iran Has Changed Global Equations 
    IRGC Air Force Commander Brig.-Gen. Hossein Salami said yesterday that the “global arrogance” (i.e. the U.S.) and other big powers should understand that Iran, with its reliance on its own technological advances, is beyond their reach.      
    Speaking to a group of Basij forces in Mashhad, he said that Iran’s domestically manufactured missiles, with a range of over 2,000 km, can easily target the enemy’s positions.      
    He said that Iran has successfully manufactured a new type of unmanned drones, which can fly 2,000 km and photograph enemy positions wherever they are.      
    Iran is the only power which can conduct reconnaissance flights and take photos from US most sophisticated plane carriers, he said, and added that the U.S. targeted Iraq and Afghanistan to prevent the influence of the Islamic Revolution, but to no avail.      
    He said that powerful Iran has changed the rules of the game in global equations and left the big powers in a state of shock and bewilderment.

    Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, who is currently visiting Iraq, met yesterday with Kurdistan region officials Masoud and Nechirvan Barzani to discuss regional developments.At the meeting, both sides called for expansion of regional cooperation, and the Kurdish officials promised to remove problems for Iranian businessmen as soon as possible. The Iraqi provincial officials also welcomed Iran’s proposal for opening a cultural house and establishing a Persian language department at Arbil University.
    Masoud Barzani highlighted the significant role of Iranian companies in the reconstruction of Iraq’s Kurdistan province, and called for expansion of such cooperation.

  19. MEMRI IRANIAN MEDIA BLOG – IAEA Chief To Report On Iran Next Week 
     International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) director-general Mohammad ElBaradei is to issue his report on Iran’s nuclear program by the middle of next week.      
    An informed source, who talked to IRNA in Vienna on condition of anonymity, said the report will probably be submitted to the IAEA Board of Governors by February 17 or 18.     
     The source said that according to the IAEA procedures, the director general has to extend the reports to Board members prior to the opening of the IAEA’s seasonal meeting.      
    He added that ElBaradei’s report on Syria will be published by late next week.      
    The next meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors is slated for March 2-6 in Vienna.

    According to the Iranian news agency Fars, a group of Iranian hackers that named itself after senior Hizbullah official ‘Imad Mughniya, who was assassinated last year in Damascus, has hacked five Israeli websites to protest against “the continued war crimes of the Zionist regime on the Palestinian land.”
    The report said that the hackers posted a photo of Mughniya with captions stating: “This victory is dedicated to the spirit of Commander ‘Imad Mughniya – Hey Zionists! Every day that passes brings all of you closer to perdition; this path will continue until the eradication of the last of you.”
