Not an every day kind of success: When the ZDF (German public TV Channel 2) corrects itself “inconspicuously”…

Every year around Christmas time, one can be sure to find at least one extremely one-sided, biased report about Israel on German TV, so also at the end of the 2020. This time it was the ZDF – German public TV Channel 2. In a report on their news page, they claimed that Israel had arbitrarily discriminated against the Palestinians when it comes to obtaining/distribution of Covid19 vaccine (1st picture – https://www.zdf.de/nachrichten/politik/corona-israel-palaestinenser-impfung-100.html). The claim was that Israel had ordered Millions of dosages of the vaccine, but none for the Palestinians. This claim was far from the truth, however, as we, Honestly Concerned, clearly laid out in our criticism of the ZDF, with references to articles showing what was truly the case (HC – https://honestlyconcerned.info/links/corona-impfung-in-israel-palaestinenser-muessen-warten-auch-israel-hat-millionen-von-impfdosen-gegen-das-coronavirus-bestellt-doch-die-sollen-nur-an-israelis-gehen-palaestinenser-sind-aussen-vo/). As a result, the incorrect post was silently deleted by the ZDF (2nd picture). In its place, the ZDF now has a new post on their website, which reiterates the HC criticism fully, now stating that “anyone who claims that the Israeli government is responsible for the fact that Corona vaccinations have not yet started for Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza is suppressing important details.” (3rd picture – https://www.zdf.de/nachrichten/politik/corona-israel-palaestinenser-impfung-100.html) The article goes on detailing facts from the references previously sent to them by HC. While we very much appreciate the “silent” correction, we hope that the ZDF will better research their stories next time, prior to publishing them and thereby spreading hate and biases against the Jewish state.
