(January 22, 2023 / JNS) Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir demanded on Sunday that laws be applied equally to Israelis and Palestinians in Judea and Samaria.
His remarks came after an outpost erected to commemorate Rabbi Haim Druckman, the spiritual leader of the religious Zionism movement and who died in late December, was evacuated on Friday.
“I believe in the rule of law but there cannot be one law for Arabs and one law for Jews. The law should also be enforced on Khan al-Ahmar and dozens of illegal Arab outposts,” said Ben-Gvir.

Der als „rechts-religiös“ bekannte israelische Minister für nationale Sicherheit, Itamar Ben-Gvir, forderte am Samstag die sofortige Evakuierung eines von jüdischen Israelis errichteten Siedlungs-Außenposten in Khan al-Ahmar im Westjordanland. „Diese Regierung wird Juden nicht an einem anderen Rechtsstandard messen, als Araber“, sagte Ben-Gvir. Er verwies auf den Evakuierungsbefehl des israelischen Verteidigungsministers Yoav Gallant für den Außenposten Or Haim, der am Donnerstag auf einem strategischen Hügel im nördlichen Westjordanland errichtet worden war. Khan al-Ahmar ist Teil der „Area C“ der Westbank, über die Israel im Rahmen der Oslo-Abkommen von 1995 die administrative Kontrolle erhielt. (s.a. i24)
