Antisemitic attack on the Jewish community in eastern Moscow | Monitoring Antisemitism Worldwide
Moscow – the Shamir community located in the east of Moscow was attacked by an anti-Semite over the weekend.
As the rabbi of the community Berl Tsisin told „Lechaim“ website, on September 20, at about 20.00, a drunken attacker, shouting antisemitic slogans, tried to break into the community premises. When he failed, since the door was locked, he broke the sign with the inscription “Shamir”, destroyed the mailbox, threw off the Menorah established by the community from the porch, and tore the number from the rabbi’s service car.
