Munich meets Tel Aviv. In the „German-Israeli Growth Accelerator“ (GIGA), two of the most important international locations for start-ups are joining forces. The Accelerator program sponsored by Google is designed to support innovation, facilitate the founding of German-Israeli start-ups, and deepen the connection between the two locations. The program is open to entrepreneurial minded students and young entrepreneurs from Israel and Germany – with or without a start-up experience. A total of ten German and ten Israeli participants form four to five teams and complete a 3-month program. This consists of different phases (ideation, acceleration, fine-tuning), in which the participants develop their idea. In the end, the projects are presented to investors in Tel Aviv. The application phase for the first issue of GIGA will run until 1 March 2017. Successful applicants will enter the start-up phase via GIGA on 27 March 2017.
