Hamas has executed one of the commanders of its military arm who was charged with informing the Israelis of the location of its “chief-of-staff,” Mohammad Deif, during Operation Protective Edge last year, Israeli Channel 2 News Online reported on Monday. Muhammad Shtiawi allegedly provided Israel with the intelligence that guided the Aug. 19, 2014 IDF strike against Deif’s house. While the Hamas commander’s wife, infant son and daughter were all killed in the strike, Deif apparently survived, sustaining injuries.
