Im Gedenken an Roy Horn: OUR TRIP TO ISRAEL | Siegfried & Roy | Facebook
Back at home base and taking the time to give you a little input on what has been going on in our lives the last couple of weeks. We took the adventure trip to the Middle East with Siegfried’s sister, a Franciscan nun Sister Dolore, whose wish it was to visit the Holy Land.
Here is what I can tell you: Tel Aviv was cosmopolitan; Jerusalem gave me goose bumps; Nazareth made my hair stand up; We attended a light show Opera in the middle of the desert at the Masada mountains; We got baptized in the Jordan River – the same place where Christ was baptized by John the Baptist; In my vocabulary the Dead Sea is called the Healing Sea; We stood on the Wailing Wall and put our wishes in there.
When we went into the library where they keep the Holy Scriptures, we were in total amazement. It was a cellar Dome room and its walls had not one piece of mortar they were pressurized and compacted. What kind of talent is that – genius. Siegfried and I came to realize that the entire race is genius.
