Israel-EU ‘Open Skies’ agreement ratified by the European Parliament | MFA
Following extensive diplomatic efforts, The EU has officially ratified the ‘Open Skies’ agreement between Israel and the EU.
The European Parliament voted 437 to 102 overnight to ratify the agreement, which has been in place since 2013. The ‘Open Skies’ agreement has led to a substantial decrease in air fares, alongside a significant increase in the number of tourists visiting Israel. It has also provided opportunities for Israeli tourists to fly to an increased variety of European destinations.
