Friends of United Hatzalah of Israel held its first ever Annual Los Angeles Gala, at which the organization raised $5 million.
United Hatzalah of Israel is a non-profit, volunteer organization that provides some of the fastest emergency medical care in the country. According to its website, the organization has more than 5,000 volunteers available 24/7, who respond to emergency medical event by ambucyle (medically-equipped motorcycle). The volunteers provide first-response medical care until an ambulance arrives.
