Labour’s candidate for one of its safest seats was criticised this weekend for his “utterly unacceptable” comments comparing Israel to a Nazi regime.
Afzal Khan had posted a comment on Twitter saying: “The Israeli government are acting like Nazi’s in Gaza.” He is due to stand in the Manchester Gorton by-election on May 4.
