Of course, whether the UN knows it (or admits it) or not, there was NO country called Jordan at the time. After all, Jordan (or the official “Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan” – the Hashemites having taken over the territory after being forced from their homes in the Arabian Peninsula) was created by the British in the 1920s and has only been an actual, independent country since 1946! Nothing “ancient” about the political entity called Jordan.
The WHOLE area, including the eastern side of the river, was called JUDAEA (which is where the word “Jew” comes from) and Jesus, John “the Baptizer” and the rest of them were all JEWS! Gosh, what a concept!
So they can cheer in Amman, but it all has absolutely NOTHING to do with them!
