Barcelona and Tel Aviv have been sister cities for 25 years. On January 27th, Holocaust Remembrance Day, anti-Semitic groups in Barcelona want to eliminate this agreement.
The Mayor of Barcelona, Ms. Ada Colau and her political party, have promoted an initiative to eliminate the friendship agreement between Barcelona and Tel Aviv. It is imperative to stop this.
This initiative is a deep insult, and it is not limited to the citizens of both cities. Everyone in the world must feel the utmost rejection of this injustice which, causing even more pain, could take place on Holocaust Remembrance Day if we do not stop it.
Please join us and sign this protest so that January 27th is not perverted with such an infamous act and that the BCN-TLV friendship agreement is not eliminated. We want the opposite, we want to continue creating bridges of friendship and dialogue because that is good for Barcelona and ‚for the world.
