Stefanos Chios, publisher of Makeleio newspaper, fined $2,200 for calling former president of Athens Jewish community Minos Moissis „a crude Jew.“ Along with defaming Moissis personally, the newspaper „contributed deliberately to the reproduction of a rhetoric of hate against Greek Jewry,“ according to the court.
