Antisemitism in Europe – Statistics & Facts | Monitoring Antisemitism Worldwide
Since the turn of the century there has been an increase in the number of violent antisemitic incidents worldwide, with over a thousand recorded in 2009 alone. In 2019 there were 122 violent antisemitic attacks reported in the United Kingdom, and a further 41 in Germany. In a 2018 survey on antisemitism in Europe, a majority of respondents in Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands and France thought that antisemitism had increased in the past five years. All of these countries, with the addition of Italy, Belgium and the United Kingdom, also had a majority of people say that their country had a problem with holocaust denial.
