Bundestag President Lammert presented with symbolic key to the Knesset | Knesset
An inter-parliamentary meeting between the Knesset and the German Bundestag was held on Tuesday at the Knesset. Knesset Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein and the President of the German Bundestag, Prof. Norbert Lammert, kicked off the conference.
Speaker Edelstein presented his counterpart Lammert with a symbolic key to the Knesset. Lammert decided not to run in the upcoming elections for the German Parliament in September, following four decades of activity, out of which he served for 12 years as the President of the German Bundestag.
