With the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic, another threat has been looming on the horizon, particularly the digital horizon: antisemitism. As Coronavirus has expanded, the Ministry of Strategic Affairs has been monitoring and reporting antisemitic content blaming the Jews in Israel for the COVID-19 pandemic. A new report, Virus of Hate details the rampant antisemitism on social networks that uses both classic antisemitism, demonizing Jews, and modern manifestations of the same hate, demonzing the Jewish state. As the new report details, this rise in antisemitism is coming from extremist anti-Israel groups, as well as the far right, and increases the threat against Jews worldwide, as the FBI has warned.
