An Israeli man who mistakenly drove into the Palestinian town of Turmus Ayya in the West Bank on Sunday was attacked by several residents and had to be rescued by the Israeli army.
Locals appear to have gathered around the man while he was in the town and hurled rocks at him and then set his car on fire. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a rescue operation and subsequently confirmed the man was retrieved from the town unharmed. Rocks and objects were also thrown at the Israeli forces as they exited the town with the civilian, with no injuries reported.
