French police swarmed and wrestled down a knife-wielding man screaming “Allahu akbar” at the Eiffel Tower, officials said on Sunday.
The famed French landmark was briefly evacuated during the 10:30 p.m. Saturday incident when the man, recently released from a psyche ward, tried to force his way into a secure area, authorities said.
