Labour was plunged into a fresh anti-Semitism row tonight after a top official vowed to defy calls from MPs to prove the party is clamping down on abuse.
General secretary Jennie Formby, a key ally of leader Jeremy Corbyn , faced demands from MPs to publish crucial details of the party’s crackdown, including how many outstanding cases of anti-Semitism Labour needs to investigate and how many are due to be considered by its ruling National Executive Committee.
