⭐ Today we are Walking through Mordechai Namir Road in Tel Aviv.
➡️ Namir Road is a main road in North Tel Aviv, named after the seventh mayor, Mordechai Namir. The road is a continuation of Road 2 from the Glilot Interchange to the south, and was formerly called „Derech Haifa“ as the main road connecting Tel Aviv and Haifa. Namir was renamed Namir Road in the 1980s following a request by Ora Namir, his widow, to change the name of Atarim Square, then called „Namir Square“ and to name another place in the city after her husband, in light of the square’s diligent failure and becoming an urban hazard.
