BERLIN — A 22-year-old German man has been detained at Dusseldorf airport upon his return from Turkey for alleged membership in the Islamic State group, the federal prosecutor’s office said in a statement Saturday.
The office said that Anil O., whose last name was not given in accordance with German privacy law, is accused of having gone to Syria in August 2015 to join the extremist group.
