While praising the adoption Thursday by the European Parliament of a resolution calling for a more vigourous action against rising anti-Semitism in Europe as ”an excellent text and a very welcome development,‘‘ Rabbi Menachem Margolin, Director General of the European Jewish Association (EJA) deplored what he called ‚‘a glaring omission‘‘, the fact that it doesn’t include at all Israel as an excuse for modern anti-Semitism. ‘‘We now have have something concrete and tangible with which to fight the scourge of anti-Semitism,‘‘ Margolin said.
