Reborn Berlin synagogue reaches out to Muslim refugees | +61J

FRAENKELUFER SYNAGOGUE IN BERLIN is not just a synagogue. It was the first in Berlin to re-open after the Holocaust and today it is 112 years old. Now, as the far-Right in Europe is rising, the synagogue is expandingi ts facilities to include a social community centre. Its campaign to expand has a political partner in the Berlin Senate, a Palestinian-German Social Democrat politician, Raed Saleh, who has helped them get approval for their project.
