NZZ – Anklage gegen die Tinner-Brüder beantragt
(sda) Die Bundesanwaltschaft soll Anklage erheben gegen Friedrich, Urs und Marco Tinner. Dies beantragt der eidgenössische Untersuchungsrichter Andreas Müller.
Am Donnerstag hat er seinen Schlussbericht präsentiert. Den Tinners wird vorgeworfen, die Entwicklung von Atomwaffen gefördert zu haben.

WJC – Senegal recalls ambassador in Tehran following seizure of Iranian arms shipment in Nigeria
Senegal has recalled its ambassador in Tehran after Iran failed to provide a „satisfactory“ explanation for arms sent from Iran and discovered in a Nigerian port in October. Senegal, judging that „explanations provided on this affair by the Iranian side are not satisfactory, has decided to recall its ambassador for consultations,“ the foreign ministry said in a statement quoted by the French news agency AFP.

(JTA) — During street theater performances protesting Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons, the Iran180 coalition arrested an effigy of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

NZZ – Irans Aussenminister abgesetzt – Auf Manouchehr Mottaki folgt Saeed Jalili
(Reuters) Irans Präsident Mahmoud Ahmadinejad hat den Aussenminister Manouchehr Mottaki entlassen, unter Verdankung der geleisteten Dienste. Die Leitung des Aussenministeriums soll vorübergehend Saeed Jalili übernehmen, der Sekretär des Obersten Nationalen Sicherheitsrats. Das meldeten die iranischen Agenturen Irna und Mehr.
Mottaki hatte zuletzt im Atomkonflikt Verhandlungsbereitschaft signalisiert, während Ahmadinejad den westlichen Staaten Doppelmoral vorwarf. 

JTA – Senators to Obama: Pressure Iran
WASHINGTON (JTA) — A bipartisan slate of senators urged President Obama to increase pressure on Iran in nuclear talks.
The major powers, including the United States, concluded talks Tuesday in Geneva aimed at getting Iran to make transparent its nuclear program. The parties agreed to reconvene in Istanbul in January.
In a letter Monday, six U.S. senators — three from each caucus, and all continuing into the next Congress — called on Obama  to increase the pressure.

Die fünf UNO-Vetomächte und Deutschland haben in Genf nach über einem Jahr eine neue Verhandlungsrunde über das iranische Atomprogramm eingeleitet. Am Sonntag hatte Teheran mit der Ankündigung, nun den kompletten Herstellungszyklus für Kernbrennstoff zu beherrschen, für neue Unruhe gesorgt. 

SIMON WIESENTHAL CENTER – Wiesenthal Center Alert to Organization of American States: „Tehran’s Planned Nuclear Capacity in Venezuela Has All the Makings of a New Cuban Missile Crisis“. 
Panama, December 3, 2010 – The Simon Wiesenthal Center has alerted the Organization of American States (OAS) to an Iranian missile base planned for Venezuela.
In a letter to the OAS Secretary for Multidimensional Security, Adam Blackwell, Dr. Shimon Samuels (Wiesenthal Center Director for International Relations) and Sergio Widder (Director for Latin America), noted that the German daily Die Welt of November 25, 2010 reported on an agreement between Iran and Venezuela, signed by President Hugo Chavez in Tehran on October 16 (www.welt.de/politik/ausland/article11219574/Iran-plant-Bau-einer-Raketenstellung-in-Venezuela.html).
